Claire Wallace
President, Microbiology Specialty Diagnostic Group Thermo Fisher Scientific
Claire Wallace has over 30 years of experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical and medical devices industries. She graduated as a microbiologist and began her career within the National Health Service (NHS) before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific in 1993. Since then, she has held leadership roles with increasing responsibility in quality, operations, marketing and sales. A passionate leader, Claire has built and led high-performing teams with a relentless focus on the customer and the patient.
In January of 2022, Claire assumed the role of Division President Microbiology within our Specialty Diagnostics Group. Claire has full P&L responsibility for 26 sites globally and over 2,800 employees. Prior to this role she held a number of senior level roles, across multiple disciplines, at Thermo Fisher spanning more than 25 years.
Claire obtained her BSc Hons in Applied Biology from Glasgow Caledonian University. She completed a post-graduate diploma in Quality Management at the University of West of Scotland and an international marketing diploma from INSEAD business school.
Claire lives in Glasgow with her husband, daughter and son.
